posted 01/21/2010 Each year the Fairfax County Youth Football League holds a Hall of Fame Banquet to celebrate the past football season and to honor local area youth and high school players, coaches, officials, and cheerleaders along with other guest and new Hall of Fame inductees. This year the list contains two honorees from the MYFL.
Congratulations to Chris Wilson of the 85 National team for being selected as the FCYFL 85 National Player of year. Chris won this award for his team leadership, sportsmanship, game play, and off the field leadership and activities. Congratulations Chris!!!
For the first time in MYFL history, the FCYFL has honored one of our Coaches. Congratulations to Coach Brian Edwards, our 150 Head Coach and Vice Commissioner, for being selected as the FCYLF American Coach of Year. In the past 4 years, Coach Brian's teams have won a 125 Central Championship in 2006 and 2007. They were runners up at the 150 American level in 2008, and won the 150 American Championship in 2009. All of Coach Brian's teams were known for their extreme sportsmanship as well as their ability on the field.
