In Person Registrations Sites and Times Announced
Tackle football practices begin on August 4th, but there is still plenty of time to register and enjoy your summer time off. Online registration is always open, but if you would prefer to register in person, we will be offering registrations at the following locations.
Big Joes Pizza - 11am til 3pm
Buffalo Wild Wings (Manassas Location) - 12pm til 4pm
Anytime there is inclement weather, please check our website and call the Prince William County Park Authority's field line (703-792-3281) for status updates. The field line is updated at 3:00 pm and our website is updated at 4:30 pm.
In the case of high heat indexes, we adjust practices based on the temperature and the air quality code (orange and red).
On days with high heat but manageable air quality, we will not be in pads until 6:45. So, we will delay the start of practice until 6:15 or 6:30 and kids will warm up without pads on until 6:45. In some cases we may delay the start even later.
Under code Red days, practice will be canceled.
In the event that a storm comes through during practice, we will clear the field at the first sign of lightning and have the kids wait at their cars for 20 minutes. If the system passes without incident in the 20 minutes, we will return to the field. If it continues to storm without interruption, practice will be canceled.
If you have signed your child up for Sharks Tackle Football , it is imperative that you go to the DMV NOW, because it could take 10-14 days to receive the ID in the mail. DMV no longer issues ID on Site. Please see the announcement below.
It is a requirement of Fairfax County Youth Football League that each player MUST have a valid CHILD ID CARD issued by Virginia when they get weighed in.A Military ID or passport is NOT acceptable for identification purposes. The ID may take two weeks to arrive since the Virginia DMV no longer issues the ID's on site and instead, deliveres them, by mail, to your primary resident. Please obtain your ID as soon as you can or you will not be allowed to participate in the mandatory weigh in process that is a requirment to play with the MYFL and FCYFL
IF YOU ALREADY HAVE A CHILD IDCARD, you need to check the expiration date to be sure that it doesn't expire before Sept. 18th.
Requires one identity document for the child such as a birth certificate or passport.
Parent must certify the child's identity and residency using the Identification Card Application for Minors
Expires on the child's 16th birthday.
If the child's name appears on the parent's legal presence document, that document governs the expiration date of the child's legal presence.
You will receive your new ID card in the mail. Customers will receive newly designed secure cards by mail. Customers renewing Virginia ID cards can keep your ID card to carry with a receipt, until you receive your new ID card in the mail.
DMV has converted to a new secure process for issuing driver's licenses and ID cards and has discontinued issuing them over the counter. The new secure process is similar to the U. S. passport process and reduces the risks of fraud.
Make sure DMV has your current, correct address on record. If you have moved, notify DMV right away. Your license will be mailed to the address in DMV records. The U.S. Postal Service will not forward driver's licenses.
